This OS2 LC adapter is for use in Singlemode applications. Utilising the same footprint a simplex SC adapter, the 09/125 LC adapter offers twice the port density of SC to SC type connections.
The product has been designed and manufactured to the IEC and TIA/EIA specifications for OS2 LC Adapters, which are intended for single-mode applications only. It has been engineered with very low insertion loss and high repeatability. The adapter has also been used with LC-SC hybrid fibre optical adapters to provide the benefits of interconnection ability in backbone and access networks, and to support single-mode and select multimode systems.
